SHORT-TERM RESIDENTIAL SERVICES
SHORT-TERM TREATMENT
Short Term Residential Treatment provides 24-hour-a-day treatment and monitoring for
individuals in need of a highly structured setting to interrupt their substance use,
gain stability, and begin developing the skills for recovery.
- What Residents Can Expect:

- The length of stay is based on an individual's needs. The average is 21 days
- Residents attend individual and group treatment sessions and other recovery support activities throughout the day and evening with scheduled breaks
- Meals and snacks are provided. Special diets are provided when needed.
- Residents share a bedroom and bathroom with 2 other residents
- Linens and pillows are provided
- Residents do daily and weekly housekeeping chores
- Laundry facilities are provided for residents to do their own laundry
- Passes are granted to attend appointments with outside service providers or for emergencies
- Family involvement is requested
- Visitors are welcome on Sunday afternoons and after Family Night
- A pay phone is available for use during designated times
- We ask that residents no not bring a vehicle, radio, or other electronics
- Residents may take medications prescribed by a physician and should bring a 30-day supply
hygiene items (toothpaste and brush, shampoo, soap, deodorant,
shaver etc.); and change or a calling card for pay phones
- Do not bring aerosol sprays because they will set off the fire alarm system
- Smoking is restricted to designated areas
- Those completing short term residential treatment are referred to a less
intensive level of residential or outpatient treatment for continued recovery support
