MEN'S & WOMEN'S RECOVERY HOMES
The Men's and Women's Recovery Homes provide an alcohol and other drug-free living
environment with rules, peer-led recovery support groups, and recovery education where
individuals in early recovery can establish a healthy
lifestyle free of alcohol and other drugs.
- What Residents Can Expect:
- The length of stay is based on a resident's individual needs. The average is 6 months for men and women
- Residents must be employed or have other means of financial
self-support, and pay rent weekly
- Residents are expected to attend weekly recovery activities including: a
community meeting; a relapse prevention group; 3 self-help group meetings; and 4 meditation meetings
- Residents are also expected to keep appointments with other service providers as needed
- Family involvement is requested
- Residents are asked to do random alcohol and other drug tests throughout their stay
- Residents may take medications prescribed by a doctor
- Residents share a bedroom and bathroom with other residents
- Residents do daily and weekly housekeeping chores
- Residents are responsible for their own meals; a full kitchen is provided
- Residents provide their own linens, towels, and other personal care items
- Washers and dryers are provided for resident use
- Residents must sign in and out daily
- Residents must be home by 11:00 PM Sunday thru Friday, and by 1:00 AM Saturday night/Sunday morning
- A leave may be granted for up to 48 hours; requests for leave must be submitted in advance
- Visitors are welcome between 10:00 AM and10:00 PM. Visitors are not allowed in bedrooms, and are not allowed when the resident is not present. Exceptions to visiting hours must be approved
- A pay phone is provided for resident use
- You may have a vehicle and park on the premises
- Public bus service is available during daytime hours
- Smoking is restricted to designated areas and is not allowed in bedrooms
- Pets are not allowed
- Those completing this program are referred to a recovery support group
