Thoughts on coping, hoping and RECOVERY
"I get a lot out of coming here to the RSG. I am learning new coping skills. I see how others cope and I know that I am not the only one."
"This place is essential to my recovery. I've been clean for three years, but keep coming. There are always people who think you can't do it. You can't change anyone but yourself"
"I come here to charge the batteries. Last week, I attended the funeral of an old friend. He died of a heroin overdose. Without this program, it could have been me"
"These meetings here give me peace inside. I used to worry about what was going to happen 10 years from now. Its good to plan, but I live in the NOW"
"This is a perfect sized group. In the bigger groups, you can get lost."
"We recently had a really informative session here with the Workforce. Even if you have a job you might want to find a better one."
