Stepping Stones, Inc. is a private not-for-profit corporation (501c3) served and governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of dedicated professionals and concerned citizens.
We are staffed by professional addictions counselors, together with medical, psychiatric, psychological, dietary, and other consultants.

Our Mission
Stepping Stones is organized to provide professional alcoholism and substance abuse treatment to persons suffering from the disease of addiction, even if persons served are unable to pay for the cost of such services.
Treatment is based on the belief that chemical dependency is a treatable illnes, requiring abstinence from mood altering drugs. The treatment techniques shall be in accordance with those generally accepted within the health care field.
The organization recognizes the importance of participation by recovering persons and their significant others in peer support/selfhelp groups, and shall strongly encourage participation in Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous,
Al-Anon, and other such groups.
The corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, religious, or scientific purposes within the meaning of section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Stepping Stones will provide individualized services that result in long-term elimination of substance abuse and improved functioning in all areas of the lives of the persons we serve. Secondarily, Stepping Stones services will benefit the families and communities of the persons we serve.
