MEN'S & WOMEN'S EXTENDED RESIDENTIAL CARE
The Men's and Women's Extended Residential Care programs provide a structured
supportive living environment with treatment where an individual in early recovery
can regain control of their life and establish a healthy lifestyle free
of alcohol and other drugs.
- What Residents Can Expect:
- The length of stay is based on a resident's individual needs. The average is 3 months for men and 4 months for women
- Residents are expected to obtain employment or have other means of financial self-support and show financial responsibility
- Residents are expected to meet the minimum weekly treatment requirements of 4 hours of group; 1 hour individual counseling; 4 self-help/recovery support group meetings; and keep appointments with other service providers as needed
- Family involvement is requested
- Random alcohol and other drug tests are requested throughout treatment
- Residents may take medications prescribed by a doctor
- Meals are provided including special diets when needed
- Residents share a bedroom and bathroom with 2 other residents
- Linens and a pillow are provided
- Residents do daily and weekly housekeeping chores
- Laundry facilities are provided for residents to do their own laundry
- Residents provide their own personal hygiene items and laundry soap
- Residents must sign out when leaving the facility and be in by evening curfew unless approved by staff
- Lights are out at 10:45 PM weeknights and 1 AM on Friday and Saturday
- Overnight passes may be granted based on progress
- Visitors are welcome on Saturday and Sunday afternoons; visitors are not allowed in bedrooms
- A pay phone is available for resident use
- Vehicles are permitted and parking is available
- Public bus service is available during daytime hours
- Smoking is restricted to designated areas
- Those completing this program are referred for continued recovery support, which could include living with others in recovery
